A while ago, the ABC daytime show The View criticized major news publications for dwelling on how the presidential candidates took their coffee. (And proceeded to dwell on how the presidential candidates took their coffee). Hillary Clinton's campaign also deemed some of Obama's supporters "Latte liberals".
But what does our coffee really say about who we are? Can you really know someone until you know how they take their coffee? (DearSugar)
I think I have gone through about 4 stages of coffee preferences:
- the sugary drink -- (often sweet iced coffee)
- the no frills drink -- (dry cappuccino or espresso macchiato)
- the grande 6 pump nonfat no water chai -- (I had that for a while)
- the low caffeine route -- (hot chocolate, herbal tea, and occasional green tea)
It never seemed like it at the time, but now that I look back, my lifestyle seemed to fit my drink order. (Coffee imitates life? Life imitates coffee?). Perhaps my drink order reveals much more through than I originally thought.
